Kilchurn castle, Loch Awe. 10/10/21
Felicia and Jamie’s beautiful elopement wedding.
Conducted by Annie Loughlin, Registered celebrant with the Humanist Society Scotland.
With the stunning Kilchurn Castle as our backdrop, it was one of my favourite sort of Argyll days, beautifully wild and dramatic, sun, rain, wind and rainbows! All very bloomin’ marvellous!
Our wee small gathering huddled together amidst the elements, the wind whipping our hair, the gorgeous wedding couple Felicia and Jamie wrapped up in their love for each other, with only their parents as guests, me their celebrant and Lina, their talented photographer. https://linahayes.com/
There were big smiles throughout the constant changes of weather, even the brolly flipping inside turned into laughter.
The ceremony was beautifully simple, meaningful and personal and included a hand-fasting, whilst holding a precious shell, as they said their personal vows of commitment to one another.
They followed their legal ceremony with a tea-drinking ceremony, to honour Felicia’s Singaporean heritage (with family watching on from Singapore from an i-phone!)
And by the end, there wasn’t a dry eye amongst us! Such a fabulous day. Even after fifteen years of being a Humanist celebrant, I still feel the privilege, honour & enormous satisfaction of my job!
Felicia and Jamie said afterwards; “We are so happy you were our celebrant Annie! We feel we were all a great fit and it was a perfect day for us!”
